one more thing...Gram was asking how I dry my clothes in winter without a dryer. This is how:

Birthday Party in Ciudad Real!

We had a party in my house for my friend Fernando and my birthdays, Jan 5 and 11, respectively, on the 14th of January and it was so much fun! I think all the guests enjoyed themselves and Fer and I were surprised when my roommates brought out a cake, turned the lights off, and lit candles that said "25" and "23." It was so thoughtful... all in all, I had a great time. I'm so lucky to know such great people. We also got the house decorated in birthday garb and international flags...we are leaving it up until someone makes us take it down!!!

Starting blogging again! hahah

I'm back in Ciudad Real...and gosh, its been a long time since I blogged. So much has been going on in my life, but most of the people that read this blog know exactly what's going on in my life, so there is really no reason to write it here. I had a wonderful Christmas and New Year in St. Louis with my family and friends...I'm soooo blessed to have the best family and the greatest friends. Ah, and my birthday too! Now almost all my friends from Spain are back in Ciudad Real and I have gotten to share stories from Christmas and New Years with my roommates. We have been enjoying our time back together. Madeleine was in France and Poland during the break, and Noemi was here with her friend's family during Christmas. My other good friend Jaclyn just got back tonight from Prague. She was vacationing almost the whole break in various parts of Europe.
I think next week I am going to have a birthday party, because my friend Fernando has his birthday this Tuesday and then our other friend Francisco on the 17th, so we may be having a big joint birthday party. I'll keep you updated. Back to work tomorrow...I kind of missed my students. And now I have lots of stuff to tell them about my trip to the US!
